A Letter from Morgan: Commemorating Mental Health Awareness Month
Over the years, people have flocked to Kalm with Kava due to its authentic and wholesome approach to life, embracing the belief that everyone has the potential to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. Our founder, Mike Munsell, played a pivotal role in shaping this philosophy and our unwavering dedication to kava and its potential benefits. I had the privilege of knowing him personally, and his kava knowledge was unparalleled. He possessed a quiet confidence, never boasting about his expertise but always willing to share his insights with others. He was more than a colleague; he was one of my closest friends.
In 2020, Mike passed away in his home state of Montana after battling with physical and mental health issues. His untimely departure left a profound void in our hearts and the kava community. Mike’s legacy extends beyond his physical presence. He left behind Kalm with Kava, the company that he had nurtured from the ground up with unwavering dedication. Mike cared deeply for his employees and the local community in Montana, often dedicating his time and resources to support those around him.
Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month, we are honoring his legacy by donating 5% of our May sales to Rural Resilience, a Montana-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing behavioral and mental health accessibility in some of the most remote communities of Montana.
In addition, we are giving customers a 5% discount on all orders placed during this month. 5% of the profits made during this month goes to Rural Resilience, and 5% stays with you as a “thank you” for your support during this important time of year.
As always, we’re grateful for our customers’ support and hope that you will join us in supporting this great organization.
