Very satisfied (and relaxed) customer. I ordered three of the micronized instant kava varieties – Loa Waka, Vula Waka, and Borongoru, which is my favorite of the group. I’m a fast-moving, forever-anxious person, and kava is the only natural substance that chills me out without knocking me out or making it impossible to do anything but sit and watch TV. It works almost instantly, doesn’t taste bad at all (though I like bitter things, so if you don’t you may have issues with the taste), and doesn’t bother my stomach at all. And the shipping was very fast. I’m looking forward to trying the others to find my favorite. Definitely a believer.

I’m new-ish to the Kava scene, but have been around long enough to make the rounds with most of the micronized products here. For time sake I will review my favorites..
The first couple of months I ordered strictly Lao Waka, because from the reviews here and on kavaforums it appeared to be the strongest. It’s strong, but that doesn’t by any means make it the “heaviest” (which is what I think I was ultimately looking for). Lao Waka is extremely balanced and very potent. I couldn’t do anymore than 3 tables in a session, as it does pack a bit of a stimulating effect to it accompanied by a body relaxation vibe. And if I used it too late it wouldn’t allow me to sleep. This is a great Kava to use earlier in the day (IMO) and in smaller servings, as it will give you both a heady energized feeling mixed with a relaxation feeling.
I only branched away from the Lao Waka because it wasn’t available when I came to place an order. I tried a few others, but the one I really fell in love with was the Borongoru. This, to me, was an extremelly heavy kava and just what I’d been looking for. It was heavy in the body and less heady. I could drink way more than 3 teaspons if I chose to, and at higher doses would be stuck to my couch, as well as offered me a great nights sleep. This is now my go-to.
So, while sticking with the Borongoru, I decided to branch out yet again and go for a kava that’s a bit out of my comfort zone. I’ve always heard people on forums describe Kava’s as “heady” or “body”, and I could care less, I just wanted the heaviest strongest stuff, period. So I decided to grab a jar of the Pouni Ono. I always envisioned that “day time heady” Kava’s just wouldn’t be strong enough for me, or worse yet, have absolutely no effect at all. Well, I just received some Pouni Ono tonight, and I was waaaaay off base. Less than a minute after taking down a cup of water with a teaspoon I felt AMAZING. Not a lot of body action going on, but my head was buzzing and I felt relaxed, energized, and uplifted mood that I’ve never experienced with Kava before this. I don’t know for sure, but I could see this kava being a bit too stimulating if drank in high doses. I took another tablespoon of the Pouni Ono, followed by a tablespoon of the Borongoru, and even better. I feel amazing and like this could be my new holy grail combo to go-to.
As far as Kalm With Kava as a business goes, I live in the southwest so the majority of the time I place an order in the evening or at night and the next day they ship it out priority and I get it in 2 days. Sometimes it’s a day later, but this only occurs during holidays. Kalm With Kava is by far my vendor, amazing products with consistency, as well as consistency in how they do business/ship/etc.

I am relatively new to Kava, or at least to high quality noble kava like KWK sells. So far I’ve tried the micronized Borongoru and it is helping me with anxiety and muscular tension/spasms. The micronized is definitely worth the extra cost IMO for taste, convenience, and the fact that you can use less to achieve the same benefits vs traditional grog.

Fantastic kava! Just as effective as traditional without the prep. Doesn’t bother my stomach. I won the boronguru during KWK’s stocking stuffer contest or I never would’ve tried it. Just ordered some Loa Waka. I got probably a dozen tbsp-ish servings or more from the jar. Great quality and value all around.
